Hefty Step-Lid Trash Can Foot

Hefty Step-Lid Trash Can Foot

My Hefty step-lid trash can would push towards the wall, which would cause the lid to rub the wall and the trash can to be tilted, requiring me to frequently pull the can away from the wall. One day I noticed that there are little feet that spin out on the back side of the can to improve stability but are too short to keep the can spaced away from the wall. I modeled the original size and an extended version which will keep the can (and lid) spaced away from the wall.

<oembed url="https://youtu.be/w6yeOjUjZ9w"></oembed>

I printed with a 0.6mm nozzle at ‘Draft Quality’ (0.32mm). I did use the Experimental ‘Adaptive Layers’ setting in Cura to reduce the layer height for the pivot post tab overhang. Printing with a smaller layer height would work too.
