The renowned sculptor Alcamenes thrived in Athens from 430 to 400 BC. One of his masterpieces is the Hecate Epipyrgidia, a threefold representation of the revered goddess, situated on the Acropolis. Hecate is the powerful deity who governs pivotal moments of transition, such as childbirth. She was also closely associated with crossroads, cemeteries, and city gates, serving as a symbol of passage from one realm to another. On the hallowed hill of the Acropolis, she marked the boundary between the sacred precinct and the rest of the city. Statue of Hecate Marble, crafted in Italy circa 50-100 AD, replicating an original work by Alcamenes, created between 430-420 BC. The statue is part of the esteemed collection of Peter Paul Rubens; it was bequeathed to Gerard van Papenbroek (1673-1743). The sculpture proudly stands within the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden in Leiden, Netherlands. I carefully printed it with supports to ensure its precise reproduction. The STL file was generated through photogrammetry for optimal results.
