Heavy duty tripod ball head for small and large format cameras. Needed something for a 6x7 camera and DSLRs. I printed this in Carbon fiber PETG. Make sure that there are no supports placed in the threads as this will mess them up. Firmly push the ball into the holder before installing any screws.You may have to cut the 3/8 threads after printing again. If you are paranoid as I am, you can place a 2 inch 3/8-16 rod into the neck for extra rigidity. Otherwise you can use standard 1/4 and 3/8 photography adapters to ad a quick release. Optinional: to prevent stripping of the bottom thread use Lower part 58 and a 3/8" Female To 5/8" Male Thread adapter. The shown quick release and plates are at thing 2450904 and 2439918. You will need: 2x M6 5cm round head internal Allen hex 1x M6 4cm Hex head 1x M4 3cm round head internal Allen hex 1x M4 3cm Hex head 1x M6 washer 1xM4 washer 1x M4 nut 1x 3/8-16 2 inch Socket Set Screw Allen Hex Drive Cup Point 1x 3/8" Female To 5/8" Male Thread adapter Updated the ANSI screw threads for better printing and compatibility
