Heavy-duty tripod ball head designed for small and large format cameras. Ideal for use with a 6x7 camera and DSLRs. I printed this using Carbon fiber PETG. Ensure that no supports are placed in the threads, as this will compromise their integrity. Firmly insert the ball into the holder before installing any screws. You may need to cut the 3/8 threads after printing again. For added security, consider inserting a 2-inch 3/8-16 rod into the neck for extra rigidity. Alternatively, use standard 1/4 and 3/8 photography adapters for a quick release. Optional: preventing stripping of the bottom thread can be achieved with Lower part 58 and a 3/8" Female To 5/8" Male Thread adapter. The recommended quick release and plates are available at thing 2450904 and 2439918.
