I've switched to 2.2 kilo filament spools for my Gmax printer and required a dependable spool holder with minimal resistance that could be installed above my Gmax. I created this spool holder, and soon I'll add the filament guide (also utilizing bearings) to be mounted on the Gmax top frame.
