Heavy duty retract unit for RC planes

A robust retract unit for RC planes is expected to function flawlessly in aircraft weighing up to 4 kg or 60-size, and possibly even larger. I have not yet used these units on a plane but they operate remarkably well. Trunnion85 is an 85° trunnion designed for precision use. Trunnion90 is a 90° trunnion engineered with high performance in mind. Trunnion95 is a 95° trunnion built to withstand heavy loads. Remove the support blocks shown in the illustration from the trunnions and retract base after printing, using pliers. This task is quite straightforward. Use 3mm steel wire or carbon rod as hinge and guide pins through the arm and trunnion for smooth operation. I highly recommend utilizing a specialized retract servo to operate these units, as they possess features that are particularly beneficial. However, a regular servo can also be used if needed. The trunnions fit snugly onto 5 mm landing gear legs. An M4x6 grub screw should be used in the trunnion to securely hold the landing gear leg in place. A flat spot must be created on the landing gear leg to prevent it from rotating within the trunnion. Ensure that the slot in the sides of the retract bases is clean and straight, parallel to each other so that the guide pin in the arm slides smoothly.
