'Heavy Duty' Pegboard Shelf Bracket
thingiverse
'Heavy Duty' Pegboard Shelf Bracket This is a simple bracket design that is intended to be use with a piece of normal wood or plywood to create a shelf. The design has not been tested for a safe load limit and it is suspected that the point of failure will be the pins that hold the bracket to the pegboard. It is recommended that the shelf not exceed 6 inches in width. The number of brackets and spacing should be determined by the load. The actual load capacity has not been tested but something between 5 and 10 pounds per bracket should be ok (no guarantee). While there is a considerable amount of support required to print these objects, it is strongly recommended that the components be printed with the orientation as provided in the files to ensure maximum strength in the components. Note 1: The components have been designed for a snug fit. It is not uncommon to find small variations in pegboard hole sizes. Sometimes the Pegboard Bracket will require a firm push to mount. If the bracket is printed in accordance with the recommended orientation the pegs will be relatively strong and should not break. If the Pegboard Bracket can not be inserted carefully ream out the pegboard holes to a slightly larger size.
