Heavy duty Nema 23 Bowden Extruder sandwich plate
thingiverse
In pursuit of building an unencumbered Bowden extruder for the DaVinci 1.0, I embarked on a mission to create one that wouldn't seize up on me. This required the deployment of a gigantic 5Nm NEMA 23 motor, featuring a sturdy 10mm shaft. Since suitable extruder gears of matching size were nowhere to be found, I opted to commission a local engineer to craft an adapter made from high-grade steel. This innovative contraption flawlessly converted the motor's massive 10mm shaft to a smaller, more manageable 5mm shaft dimension. Next, I crafted a sandwich plate specifically designed to house a compact NEMA 17 extruder in optimal alignment with the mighty NEMA 23 motor it serves.
