UPDATE: Added version for 40mm barrel. This heavy-duty GoPro mount is designed specifically for spearguns and allows users to capture footage as close as possible to their catch. The mount is suitable for all GoPro cameras and has been optimized for round Pathos aluminum barrels with an outer diameter of 30mm, which is the most common size. However, if a different barrel size is required, simply let me know. The speargun head mount features a cutout for the screw connecting the head to the barrel, preventing it from rotating during use. Although the mount's cutout diameter (29.3mm) is slightly smaller than the barrel's one, it is unlikely that rotation will occur if properly tightened and positioned closer to the handle. One important consideration when using this mount is to rig your speargun so that the nylon line and reel line (if used) are on the side of the line release mechanism, avoiding any potential tangling with the camera. Please refer to the photos provided for further guidance and test your setup at home before going out. To achieve optimal results, printing in ABS or ASA is recommended due to their strong filament properties. The geometry has been optimized for ABS, minimizing steep overhangs that can lead to warping during the printing process. A 0.2 mm layer height, 6 walls, and 80% infill are suggested settings for a rock-solid final product. Supports are only necessary at the camera connection point. Printing with a higher temperature (e.g., 250C) and flow rate can help improve layer adhesion and structural integrity. The required materials include two 35mm and one 25mm stainless steel M4 screws, as well as three M4 nyloc nuts. Don't forget to adjust the video orientation in your GoPro menu for optimal viewing.
