Heavy Duty E3D chimera/cyclops hot end adapter for CR-10 and other creality printers
thingiverse
I've got a dual extruder CR-10 project in the works and I'm a big fan of Graham's heavy-duty mount. So, I took his design, remixed it to fit my Chimera dual hotend, and had to cover up that third mounting screw hole - but you can always drill it out if needed. With those two lower screws and the lip going over the plate, I'm pretty confident it'll be rock solid. I haven't printed it yet, but this should work for the original E3D V6 as well. If you're interested in doing a dual extruder setup on your CR-10, I'll leave a parts list below of what I ordered from China - just keep in mind that shipping will take forever. 1. New board capable of handling two extruders - I went with the MKS 1.4. 2. A new LCD controller since most boards don't have an SD card slot - I opted for a touchscreen. 3. Dual head and adapter - I got a Chimera clone. 4. NEMA 17 motor (I got two just in case I needed to do a dual lead screw). 5. Extruder mount on the motor (I'm printing out flex extruders, but still need screws, spring, pusher gear, and bearing). 6. Bowden tube - lots of it (I plan to put both motors on the top bar, so I bought two 600mm tubes). 7. Motor mounts - I'm printing mine out. 8. Extra wire, heat shrink, T nuts, and screws - plenty of those.
