Heavily Modified (Modular) X ends w/ endstop holder.
thingiverse
NOTE: When installing these ends, pinch the M8 nuts with your fingers and tighten them as much as possible using the threaded rod, attaching it to your couplings. A more detailed installation guide will be posted later, as they can be tricky to install. The pulley mount goes on last, along with the motor mount bracket etc. The X-ends from Villekl have been slightly modified and now feature an enstop holder that mounts to the top of the x motor end, a pass-through on the x motor mount for those with long smooth rods, and nut traps for M3 nuts on the bottom of the XendBaseV2.stl. The ID for the rods has been made 9mm to accommodate various printers' capabilities, and if loose, a wrap or two of blue tape can help secure them. Bearing wells have a lip to hold the bottom of the bearing in place and a spot for a zip tie in the middle of the bearing tower. Extended "wings" have also been added to provide even clamping around the bars, along with other smaller modifications. An initial installation revealed issues with the motor mount's pass-through holes not properly holding M8 rods and the need for 20mm M4 bolts. These concerns have been addressed in updates to the top, bottom, and mount of the X_motor. The bearing wells have also received support and adjustments to provide better wiggle room during installation. Both extended and regular versions of the parts will work, but the regular motor mount and pulley mount will not fit properly on the extended versions. After installing these modifications, the user experienced almost no z-wobble. An update will be provided after further installation to report on their performance.
