I have been experimenting with diverse extruder hot end designs, particularly focusing on 3mm configurations. A prevalent issue encountered is efficient heat dispersion above the nozzle. Either the filament overheats at a high level or the insulating barrel is too hot for the filament block. To address this, I sought to create a heatsink that accommodates the most common designs. Furthermore, optional support bolts were incorporated to enhance stability. Although these bolts do not align with existing setups, this can be easily rectified. The intended material for fabrication is metal, using an investment casting process. Curiosity regarding heat dissipation capacity in PLA form remains.
