Heatsink dummy model 40mm x 40mm x 11mm ## Why As preparation for a printer enclosure I wanted to check if I have space for a heatsink in case the stepper motors get too hot. ## Design Details There are 2 versions. One with quite big fins (3x8mm) which might be better for FDM printing. And one version with small but more realistic fins (1x3mm). The smaller fins are difficult to print as visible in pictures. No rounded edges. I might upload an additional version with rounded edges. Fins break off very easily. Might also double as a stringing test. ## Print Instructions Print as displayed in picture. Adjust Infill and wall line count to experience. Maybe 3x wall line count is needed for the fins. Scale in Z or X,Y if different heatsink is used. ## Assembly Instructions Print and glue into place. ### Materials Needed none (All product links are MakerBot affiliate links. I do not get <i>anything</i> from these links.)
