Heathkit HERO-1 robot body panel

Heathkit HERO-1 robot body panel

Here's my latest attempt at creating body panels for Heathkit's popular HERO-1 robot. I'm tired of seeing these robots sell for over $1,000 when all I'd end up doing is ripping out the electronics anyway. This is my first time using Fusion 360, so be gentle with me! I've included the Gcode from Fusion 360 and the STL file. Unfortunately, my geometry is a bit off, which means I couldn't use the shell function, so it's just a solid piece for now. Once I learn more, I can add panel details and create a shell in six or nine pieces that can be printed on a 200x200x200 printer. The model shown was printed at 25% scale. I'd love for you to experiment with this design and feel free to make it your own – it's far from complete. UPDATE: On February 28, 2018, I added more recess to the chest panel and removed the inner radius to reduce printed material. UPDATE 2: On March 7, 2018, I added the HERO Jr. head STL file. Please note that I didn't create this design myself – it was generously provided by a friend.
