Heater Block with Screw-On Thermistor
thingiverse
This revamped heater block is an advanced version, designed for use with Makergear hot ends or DIY projects. Key enhancements include the adoption of a M3 stud screw-on thermistor, which simplifies assembly and maintenance. The heater block assembly can also be secured on the barrel via an M3 x 6 set screw, preventing twisting during nozzle changes - a feature similar to the updated budaschnozzle 1.2 heater block design. Detailed PDF drawings, STL, and STEP solid models are provided for manufacturing guidance. CNC machining or manual methods can be used with 3/8" x 3/4" 6061-T6 extruded bar. A M3 stud thermistor, consisting of an NTC EPCOS thermistor, M3 x 4 brass standoff, 0.3mm ID PTFE tubing, JST crimp-on connectors, and JB Weld steel epoxy resin, is also included in the design for easy installation.
