Heater Block Thermal Jacket Mold
thingiverse
The heater block of a 3D printer loses heat significantly due to exposure to air and also because of the cooling fans that inevitably involve the nozzle. To create an insulation layer for this component, you can use a bi-valve mold. This type of mold allows you to make a "coat" by attaching it to a thermal silicone tube and injecting the contents into it. The dimensions of the heater block are 16x16x12 mm. By inserting the counter-mold into the two valves and tightening them with four screws, you can attach the entire setup to a thermal silicone tube and then inject the contents until they fill the mold completely. The drying time for this process will depend on the type of silicone used. For more information, visit www.karnhack.com/heater-block-thermal-jacket/.
