Heated Platform Leveling Clip

Heated Platform Leveling Clip

The heated platform on my Cupcake was not parallel to the main or Z stage, so I designed a solution in SketchUp for the first time ever. Although improvements are needed, the design involves using a nut captured in a tight space, with M3 screws (20mm recommended) for pass-through. The thinner substrate allows wider hole fitting, while the thicker section requires careful screw insertion. After visiting my local hardware store, I purchased longer M3 screws and installed clips on opposite corners of the platform. Pre-threading the clips may aid installation. Under each platform is a nylon lock-nut to secure screw rotation without vertical play. Adjustments were made to ensure equal nozzle height throughout the print surface. The design was created using RepG 0017 and borrowed profiles from Ruttmeister on Makers: Group. Further tuning is required, but overall, I'm pleased with the result and plan to try multi-printing next.
