Heated Bed Cabling Strain Relief
thingiverse
This is a remix of http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1387821/#remixes. I grew tired of re-soldering the wires on my heated bed after they came loose, and by the fourth time it happened, I knew there had to be a better solution. I found the piece created by Antscran, which looked incredible, but didn't fit my bed perfectly, and I wasn't eager to disassemble anything to fix this issue. So, I took his idea and simplified it, coming up with this design. It's probably not as sturdy as the original, but so far, it has worked great for me and easily slid onto one of the bars on the bottom side of the bed. To avoid hitting the Y-axis motor, I had to position it all the way to the side. A couple of zip ties on top keep the wires in place and straightened them back towards the connection. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Notes: I had to do a little sanding afterwards to get the notches in the top piece to fit correctly. This was probably unnecessary, but I figured they would provide extra support and prevent it from sliding side to side.
