Heat tower
thingiverse
The existing heat tower tests fell short, often relying too heavily on plastic and time. This new test boasts a range of features that address previous shortcomings: A 45-degree overhang now challenges the printer's ability to navigate complex angles. Round overhangs push the machine to its limits, requiring precise control to avoid failure. The inclusion of round and flat surfaces adds variety to the test, forcing the printer to adapt to different geometries. Small features test the printer's precision and accuracy, while stringing and bridging challenges its ability to manage material flow. Ten distinct settings allow for a high degree of customization, enabling users to fine-tune their printer's performance. Temperature control is also on point, with options available for every 10mm or 50 layers – even at a layer height as low as .2.
