Heat sink Holder for Raspberry Pi

This can be used to mount a small heat sink to the Pi using the four mounting holes.Tested on a Pi 4, but it should work on all other Pis that share the same mounting hole pattern.In my case, I used a heat sink that was 27x26.5x9mm (just what I had lying around). It does not really matter what height it is, you will just require longer screws. The width and length, however, do matter, since there is a small frame on the underside of the construction that keeps the heat sink from moving horizontally. I included the FreeCAD project file, so anyone that is familiar with FreeCAD can modify it to their liking (just change the dimensions of the frame(s) in “Sketch” and “Sketech002”). If you are not familiar with FreeCAD, you can just add a comment or message me and I might make some for more heat sink sizes. In order to mount it, you will need four M3 bolts (length depending on the height of your heat sink, mine were 17 mm). Then you can simply place the heat sink with some thermal compound on top of the CPU (centred) and put the holder on top of it, so the heat sink slots into the little frame on the bottom. Using the four bolts and some washers for finer adjustment, you can screw the holder down against the holes in your case or some nuts on the other side (the plastic arms will function as springs, so you don't have to get the tension exactly right).
