Heat cover for QIDITECH X-ONE printer
thingiverse
This heat cover is designed specifically for the X-ONE printer, which lacks a heat cover in its upper model "Avatar IV". The heat cover is constructed from three distinct parts: the front panel, side panel, and top cover. Each part is made from 4mm thick transparent polycarbonate cardboard. Cardboard connectors are used to secure the top cover in place, while plastic L-angle bars have been installed on each edge for added support. Print Settings Printer: QIDI Avatar IV Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 30% Notes: For optimal results, use either PLA or ABS filament. ABS is recommended due to its high temperature resistance and moisture tolerance. Post-Printing For the Front Panel: Use a two-step part from X-One rib.stl. Secure with four M3 15mm screws on each edge side. Apply washers, spring nuts, and nuts as necessary. Adjust the inside space accordingly. For the Side Panel: Use a one-step part from X-One rib.stl. Secure with four M3 15mm screws on each edge side. Apply washers, spring nuts, and nuts as needed. Adjust the inside space carefully. For the Top Cover: The following parts are required: * Two corner pieces (corner.stl) for the rear upper section * Two edge pieces (edge_656c.stl) for the front slant upper section * Four bottom corners (bottom_corder.stl) for the bottom section * Four bottom bases (bottom_base.stl) to secure each corner of the topside window Supplemental Parts: * Edge 656b.stl can be used for top and slant lines. * Edge.stl is designed for edges with a right angle. These parts are crafted at an angle of 65.6 degrees. Confirm your PTFE tube height during printing to ensure accurate results. The bottom base parts are placed at each corner of the topside window, temporarily held in place by tape or adhesive. Once the top cover is complete, attach it to the bottom base using ABS adhesive, as my bottom parts were created with ABS filament. For slant edges that have broad or sharp corners from a right angle, costume each edge with plastic L-angle bars. If you encounter any issues with joint angles, break the L-angle and tape from the inside for a free joint. For temporary build-up, use strong adhesive tape and replace it with normal plastic adhesive later. Now, let's get started!
