Heat Block Silicone Insulation Mold for ZONESTAR Z9M3
thingiverse
With this mold, you can create a Heater Block protective silicone cover. How to do it: 1. Print Inner and outer molds in ABS or ASA. 2. Fill the outer mold halfway with heat-resistant silicone, making sure it reaches the edges and doesn't fill the center hole. 3. Place the outer mold on a smooth surface with the small hole facing down. 4. Press the inner mold down into the silicone, pushing it until it meets the surface. 5. The silicone should now penetrate the top space between molds. Smooth out excess silicone and remove it. 6. Allow the silicone to harden as directed by the manufacturer (usually 24 hours, but I leave it hardened for almost twice that time to be safe). 7. When the silicone is dry, carefully remove any excess plastic from the mold without damaging the silicone. 8. Submerge the mold in acetone until it dissolves. 9. Remove any remaining undissolved plastic and wash the silicone. You should now have a Heater Block protective silicone cover with three cutouts featuring a hole at the end - two small ones and one large one. If not, remove excess silicone. You can then put the silicone cover on the heat block, with the large hole fitting snugly over the heat pipe.
