Heat Bed Clip for PEI or Glass
pinshape
Summary I designed this clip specifically for attaching an 8"x8" sheet of 1mm PEI to the aluminum bed of my Wanhao i3 plus. The front portion measures 16mm deep in order to center the PEI perfectly on the aluminum bed. Inside, the clip is 4.6mm high, which is suitable for the thickness of my bed and the PEI. I deliberately made the front of the clip smaller so that it would exert a bit of tension on the PEI, but the printed material needs to have some flexibility to it. Print Settings Printer Brand: Wanhao Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus Rafts: Not Required Supports: None Resolution: .4mm Infill: None Notes: I used Maker Geeks Raptor PLA, but most types of PLA will work just fine unless you're running high bed temperatures. For that case, ABS or PETG would be a better choice. Post-Printing Using MakerGeeks Raptor PLA and annealing it worked well for me. When warm, the material becomes very pliable and can be adjusted as needed to fit the bed and PEI by slightly squeezing the front of the clip (be careful, it's hot!).
