Heart Watch Holder
thingiverse
A wall-mountable watch holder, designed to showcase Mrs. Gazorpa's beautiful Seiko watch in style. Its uniquely symmetrical design allows the watch band to slide smoothly through the center gap. Print Settings Printer: FlashForge Creator Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.10 - 0.20 mm, depending on desired quality Infill: 0.30%, 3 shells Post-Printing Align the left and right supports on the base using the guide pins. Remove any excess material around the guide pins by trimming it off. Enlarge the mating holes with a small drill bit or hobby knife until the supports fit flush on the base. Secure the supports onto the base with the right adhesive. For PLA, use gap-filling super glue such as Loctite Super Glue Gel Control. For ABS, use ABS slurry or super glue. Mount the plain base using double-sided tape. The base with a hole can be secured with a #10 pan head screw. How I Designed This Initially, I designed this piece as one unit with a thinner watch holding surface. However, printing in ABS resulted in a rough lower surface due to curling and non-stick support layers. So, I split the design and thickened it for printability without supports, achieving a balance between aesthetics and usability. The heart curve is defined by an equation from http://mathworld.wolfram.com/HeartCurve.html: y = 13 cos(t) - 5 cos(2t) - 2 cos(3t) - cos(4t) Watch Manufacturers This design is original.
