The Hot-Knife works exceptionally well on PLA models, provided you exercise extreme caution and practice thoroughly! I experimented with magnetic tape; it doesn't compare favorably to using magnetic buttons. Additionally, I attempted utilizing model glue; unfortunately, it didn't perform as effectively as employing a hot glue gun.
