Human: A Novel Approach to Old School Dimmer Controls. Instructions: Revamping the Lighting Scene for My Daughter's Room. Inspired by our recent wall plate customization project, my daughter wanted her very own dimmer knob for her bedroom light switch. However, this required some creative thinking since the existing switch isn't a slider type. So, I set out to design a one-of-a-kind knob tailored specifically for her needs. To get started, I based my new design on an existing knob style that has been perfected over time. Utilizing 123D Design's powerful subtractive modeling tools, I generated a precise mold by stripping away excess material from the base shape.
