Heart Shaped Box Project 2018

This was a student project created for Valentine's Day and also suitable for Mother's Day. The students designed a heart-shaped box with a customized lid of their own making. Here, you can see a selection of customized lids crafted by the students. The second year of this project was just completed with students on board. This resulted in a somewhat hairy underside that is concealed from view, but it didn't affect the top at all. If this is a concern for you, consider printing with support to address the issue. With the lid face up, there isn't much surface area in contact with the build plate. No trouble was encountered during printing, but you might need to add a brim so it sticks properly.
