Heart Ocarina
thingiverse
A delicate ocarina in the shape of a heart has been crafted after numerous refinements to achieve precise relative tuning. The smaller version, tuned to C major, plays a flawless melody with ease, while the larger version in G awaits testing to confirm its perfect pitch. Nonetheless, the relative tuning has been perfected and produces a clear major tune. An update will be posted once the testing is completed. The finger holes on the small C version are closely spaced, making it suitable for children's hands; however, the fingering system adapts well to this limitation. In contrast, the G version is designed for adults with larger fingers. To play the ocarina correctly, one must open the right-hand holes from bottom to top, followed by the left-hand holes from bottom to top, then the right thumb, and finally the left thumb. Printing Settings: Printer: A budget-friendly model manufactured in China. Rafts: Not a critical factor. Supports: Yes, recommended for optimal results. Resolution: 0.2 mm provides a clear image. Infill: A minimum of 30% is suggested to ensure structural integrity. Notes: Printing without supports may result in overhangs at the bottom, making it a riskier option. Post-Printing: The fipple's blow edge often requires gentle sharpening to achieve optimal performance.
