I use Python's inflatemesh script along with the Inkscape extension to inflate my 2D SVG file. The inflation process is controlled by parameters like exponent=2, flatness=0, height=10, resolution=30 and hexagonal mesh. A nice idea would be to print it in red and stick it onto a homemade Valentine's card.
