Headtracking Clips for FreeTrack
thingiverse
Human: 6DOF headtracking clips designed for seamless integration with FreeTrack, TrackHat, or other advanced headtracking systems. Inspired by the innovative design on Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:62827). Two distinct versions of these clips are crafted to accommodate the two halves of the arms in perfect harmony. One version proudly showcases its LEDs, while the other serves as a brilliant light diffuser. The diffuser clips should be printed with white filament for optimal results. Initially, I designed the arm clips to fit snugly over the 8mm section of the arms. However, due to my printer's calibration issues and an extra layer of plastic from the arm supports, I also created a version with an 8.7mm inner section that fits perfectly over the arms. To date, I have only created a headphone clip using old USB headphones, which simplifies powering the LEDs by eliminating the need for batteries. Future plans include designing a head-mounted clip, which will be implemented at a later time. Print Settings: Printer: Prusa i3 Mk2 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 40%
