Giving kids their own space helps them learn to organize on their own. I noticed my daughter had designated spots for everything in our car, except her backpack, which ended up on the floorboard, where it got stepped on or forgotten inevitably. My solution was a hook that simply latches onto one of the posts of the headrest in front of her car seat. This keeps bags off the floor and gives the little ones a role in keeping the car clean.
