I thoroughly agree with you that the original RHO-Lens design for the Headplay headset leaves a lot to be desired. I've encountered the exact same issue you have, constantly trying to install it only to leave fingerprints all over the lens. Here's my own take on how this should be approached. One solution would be to develop an accessory lens holder that can be secured directly in place of the standard Headplay lens mounting bracket. I found four plastic or metal clips with adhesive tape that you attach directly under where your regular Headplay RHO-Lens would fit. Attach these at the sides by the screw mounts, two of each so as to balance it properly when the new "lens retainer" plate attaches using screws M2x6mm screws for mounting. I believe installing a replacement lens would go something like this. Simply press one half into your bottom and position a Rho lens above at nose bridge, carefully apply a few gentle pushes so the double adhesive stick onto glass securely
