HeadPlay HD FPV Headset Battery Holder
thingiverse
Another battery holder is available for the HeadPlay FPV Goggles. The concept was born when I encountered issues with the battery and the provided velcro, leading me to believe that it could be improved. Especially considering the GoPro mount available, I thought there must already be some type of solutions on Thingiverse. And indeed, they exist (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1150824 and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1133100). However, I felt that these designs were not fully utilizing the potential of the GoPro mount. After creating a few prototypes, this simple solution was developed. The battery holder securely holds the battery in place against the backplate of the straps when it is folded. The bolt should be tightened firmly but not excessively tightly so that you can open and close it without adjusting the bolt. Any resolution and infill will work for printing, but I recommend at least 40% or more infill to minimize the risk that the holder breaks when removing the battery if the bolt has been over-tightened.
