This is a remix of the great headpiece model by youngs66! I wanted to make the crystal in the center shine brighter, so I added some flat recesses to the back for mounting the electronics. To complete this project, you will need to print the headpiece in two halves, and I've only posted the file I modified here, which is just the back piece. Jump over to the original model to grab the front piece (head_a.stl): https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:202589 Then, print both pieces, glue them together, add the electronics, then paint. My headpiece uses an Adafruit Trinket M0, one NeoPixel, and a 2x coin cell battery pack. The bird on the front of the headpiece is painted with Bare Conductive paint and connected to a capacitive touch pin on the Trinket. When you touch the bird, the crystal lights up! The conductive paint still works under a thin top layer of paint, so I covered the front of mine with gold spray paint. Bare Conductive asked me to write this up as a tutorial on their website, so you can find detailed build instructions there.
