Headphone Stand - Two Part Custom Fit, Multiple Versions
myminifactory
I needed a custom fit stand for my fantastic HD6XX headphones, so I borrowed liberally from the Makerbot headphone stand and remade everything from scratch to fix some nagging issues. The original Makerbot headphone stand has steep overhangs that tend to warp due to heat, it's not symmetrical, the headband rest is too narrow and doesn't fit the band of the HD6XX, etc. This new print is much easier and produces better results for me right off the print surface. There are two versions of this stand: one with a ribbed look on the uprights due to layering of print layers, similar to the top surface of a benchy boat, and one with a smooth look. The stand is modular, allowing you to customize it to your specific headphones. The top headband piece simply slides into place and stays there via interference fit. This modularity lets you make the stand fit your specific headphones, as needed. Headband pieces are included for AudioTechnica ATH-M50 style smooth headphone bands as well as Sennheiser HD650 style notched headbands. There's a "tall" and a "short" version of the notched band piece available. I hope you enjoy this new stand!
