thingiverse
Thingiverse has been functioning poorly lately, with many designs not displaying correctly, search results being slow, the mobile app crashing frequently, and authorization constantly malfunctioning. Furthermore, users are unable to view their latest designs that they have posted. And spam ... A lot of unwanted garbage spam from individuals sitting in mother's basements and making a living off this dirty craft is flooding the platform. The administration is taking its time to correct this situation. Since Thingiverse does not respect its users or the work of makers who create their designs and make them available for free, wasting valuable time that could be spent on more productive activities, I decided to move some of my designs to Youmagine.com and invite others to follow my lead. My Youmagine.com profile can be found at https://www.youmagine.com/sedi/. I really like the original design, but the way the parts are connected is not ideal. After printing the original rack, I realized that I needed to make significant modifications to address the issues I had with it. So I added thickness to the base, side supports made flat on one side for better printing results (parts 2 and 3 or 2.1 and 3.1 which are higher), increased the contact area of joined parts to prevent wobble and enhance structural strength. The platform on which the headband is located was shortened (there are two options - parts 4 and 4.1). Decorative cutouts were added, and the thickness of the ends was reduced to visually lighten this part. I designed the rest of the parts from scratch. The mounting plate that connects the base to the sides (part 5) is secured with eight screws. I understand that this may be excessive, but in my opinion, it looks cooler :). Also, I created several options for the upper intermediate insert: with cable hook (part 7) with hook and storage slot for removable 6.3mm jack (part 7.1) with no hook for use with wireless headphones (part 7.2) As a bonus among the files is an element for installing an NFC tag (part 8) or decorative insert (part 9) that can be mounted almost anywhere in the rack. To assemble it, you will need an M4 screw and some file work to remove metal from both sides of the screw head. All other parts are connected with M3x16 screws and nuts. Some parts are grouped together as one to make navigation easier. Thanks to the author for the great design and the opportunity to spend a couple of hours remixing it.
