Headphone Spool Case
thingiverse
A spool case is provided for your earbud headphones. Wind up the wire by rotating the spool with your thumb and then close the cover. This product is still a work in progress, so updates might be made soon. On 12-26-2011, the headphone hole size was increased to accommodate different pairs of headphones, while the slot size in the outer case was decreased. On 11-15-2011, outercase parts were updated to increase hinge hole size and surrounding material. The snap feature on top of the case was also modified to enhance its width and depth. To assemble it, first print out the parts. Next, snap the inner spool parts together; you might need to clean up the pins and holes for a proper fit. If needed, use super glue to keep them in place. Align outer case parts at the hinge point and insert a 1.75mm filament as the hinge between them. Enlarge the hinge holes if necessary for smooth joints. Superglue the filament to the bottom case if required. Finally, mount the inner spool onto the pin of the outer case without using superglue on this joint for free rotation.
