Headphone Repair Brace

I've created a simple headphone brace to reinforce cheap headphones that consistently break at the sliding part of the band. Over the years, I've gone through several of these headsets, each one breaking in the same way - the plastic cracking apart at the band slider, leaving one earpiece dangling precariously by its wire. In the past, I'd simply taped them together with strong tape, but this method didn't provide enough support to wear the phones properly. So, I designed an additional brace that slides over the taped connection to maintain the headphones' proper shape. This crude fix works surprisingly well and doesn't affect my comfort level.
