Headphone Mount (Command Strip)
thingiverse
Hi all, I'm just starting out with my 3D printer and this is my first contribution to Thingiverse! I've really enjoyed printing the parts from here and learned a lot from you all, so I thought I'd add something I think is useful for the community. As I was looking for a headphone wall mount to print, I only found ones that I didn't like the looks of or needed screws to mount on walls. I'm a fan of Command Strips adhesive mounts since they don't damage the wall, but I was left with the problem of being able to reach the "pull" strip while keeping it hidden. After considering a couple of options, I settled on a simple one. My solution: hide the pull strip, attach some clear packing tape to extend it so that the pull strip is still accessible for when I want to remove the mount, but also minimize its visibility. I printed the wall-mount side directly to the bed to make it a smooth surface for good adhesion with the Command Strip. I designed it to print this way without supports, and it came out quite nice. All overhangs were 45 degrees or less, so it had no problems. Also, I added an indented border on the pack side to mark the placement of the Command strip. The shape of this design was inspired by different designs I've seen here, notable of which are here. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2481505 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1765845 Also needed: 1. Packing tape (Don't use Scotch-like tapes, need the strength of packing tape for the pull tab.) 2. 3M Command strip, medium (3 lbs. capacity)
