Headphone holder suitable for adhesive tape fixture
thingiverse
There are plenty of headphone holders available on Thingiverse, and I probably just didn't search thoroughly enough. What I wanted was a design with a substantial flat back panel that could be securely attached using double-sided adhesive tape instead of clips or screws. This particular holder fits the bill perfectly, allowing it to be stuck onto an IKEA EKBY ALEX shelf or desktop drawer set with ease. In case you prefer not to use adhesive, this design also features two 3.2mm (1/8") diameter screw holes for a more traditional fastening method. As I was uploading the photos, I added rounded corners to the curved flange for a smoother look. This holder was printed using blue ABS filament, but any material would work just as well. Printing without support or raft is perfectly fine, and an infill of 20% should be sufficient - even 10% or 5% would be enough, considering most computer headphones aren't particularly heavy. Feel free to modify the OpenSCAD script to suit your preferences.
