Headphone desk-mount hook

Headphone desk-mount hook

thingiverse

This is a straightforward headphone rest that attaches to the underside of the desk. I've noticed impressive designs on thingiverse for headphone stands, but they occupy valuable desk space. I've seen innovative designs on thingiverse for headphone hooks, but most of them attach to your desk with a clip that's specific to the width of your desk, may slip off, and again, result in a slight reduction to desk space. This design attaches only to the bottom of the desk using two screws, and it's surprisingly robust. The screw holes are designed for US standard #6 sheet metal or wood screws. The thread does not need to dig into the hole, so the holes are slightly oversized (4mm diameter). I've included the step file if you need to remix for your screw size. Drill pilot holes in your desk carefully, but be careful not to drill through it! I used US #6 sheet metal screws with washers. Print Settings: Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 20% Notes: Even with 20% infill PLA, the result is incredibly robust.
