I've designed a custom cord wrap for my Etymotic headphones, perfecting this intricate task over several experiments. Their unique large cords demand precise attention, making these miniature headphones all the more distinctive. My trials consisted of testing three diverse thickness levels - an essential detail in designing such delicate cord wraps. I chose the thinnest variant, as initially designed, since it outshone its counterparts. In comparison, the second version scaled 1.5 times thicker in Z direction stood nowhere near its original counterpart, whereas the thickest option scaled by 2.5 was not preferred over its initial counterpart. Red Soft PLA's pliability allows me to create such detailed and flexible designs. This quality permits a snug fit of cords into designated slots, also offering some level of flexibility throughout.
