Headphone Cans

Designing a full size set of headphones from scratch sounds like an exciting project! To get started, reusing parts from an old set can be a fantastic place to begin. In this case, scavenging the drivers and cushions from the old Panasonic cans was a good starting point. Finding other necessary components has been a challenge since it's been a while since they were made. Luckily, with modern advancements in 3D printing technology, new parts can be easily created to fit the design. Notably, the headband is incredibly soft, and adding more infill would make it even more comfortable to wear. The old Panasonic headphones have served as inspiration for this project, and it's interesting to note that two headbands are needed for a proper fit. Once the design is finalized, expect regular updates on my progress over the next few days. I'll be sharing photos and possibly videos of the construction process. In the meantime, it's worth mentioning that the old headphones were made with whatever filament was readily available at the time, which is why the first set came out in various colors. Now, let me get back to work on this exciting project! And hey, maybe someday I'll remember to note down the model of those trusty Panasonic headphones for future reference. Talk to you later!
