Velomobiles typically have their lights mounted low to the ground, creating large shadows when the road is not flat or has debris on it. This item is to mount an extra headlight on the DF or DFXL velomobile at 70 cms above the ground. The built-in light sits at only 38 cms above the ground. It fits the Cateye GVolt 50 or 60 headlights. The angle is fixed at three degrees, optimized to not blind incoming traffic. You can change this angle in the scad-file and regenerate the stl file, using the free OpenScad software. The mount attaches to the 'bonnet' of the DF, which is fixated by ten bolts. Replace the center, front-most bolt by a slightly longer one and attach this headlight mount to it. Disclaimer: the design has been tested on a single DFXL only, no guarantees that it fits yours.
