The original headlight on the 2017 BMW S1000R comes with a standard halogen bulb. However, when swapping this out for an LED bulb, users often find themselves forced to damage the OEM cap in order to accommodate the LED fan or ballast. A replacement option is available that addresses these issues. This new design incorporates a hole specifically for the protruding fan, allowing for improved airflow and providing slots for securing cables with tie-downs. The long cable and ballast can be safely fastened using these cable ties. This model was created using freecad software. As of November 24, 2018, version 6 has been updated to include larger holes that simplify the removal of infill material. Furthermore, the STL file now boasts significantly higher resolution for a more precise and detailed print.
