Headlight adjustment tool - 4mm
thingiverse
I required modification of headlights on my Ford Crown Victoria after installing high-intensity discharge lights, but discovered that access is extremely difficult with a socket wrench. A special tool even exists for this purpose, however, purchasing it costs $20 and shipping will take seven days. This device secures the adjustment bolt in place, enabling the use of bare hands to tighten it. It takes mere seconds to adjust once printed. After completing the process, I discovered that many other vehicles employ the same hex bolt size, yet varied clearances might prevail for different cars. A FreeCAD source file is attached, permitting modification anytime to accommodate your specific vehicle's needs. P.S. The initial holes on each side were designed by me to enable using a tool as leverage if the bolt becomes stuck; however, using bare hands was found sufficient. You will probably want to increase perimeter counts for added assurance that the bolt won't damage plastic during use. Four perimeters sufficed for my needs and proved robust.
