Headband for Oculus Quest
thingiverse
[Update 2/7/20: Added my latest edit with expanded coverage for increased support. This new design takes up at least 25% more contact area, transferring more weight to the headset. You can see it in the first picture and it's labeled experimental in the files.] [Update 10/29/19: I've added a slot on the bottom for an easy top-strap insertion, adding another point of support. Simply insert as shown in the second picture and you'll feel the difference. The latest version is labeled v2 in the files.] I created a headband for the Oculus Quest to help balance its front-heavy design. By providing extra support at the forehead, this headband reduces pressure on your face. I previously used counter weights in the back but wanted to try something new. Print this design as shown with a brim and 50% infill, using .2mm layer height. You'll need two six-inch long strips of velcro straps for assembly. For maximum comfort against your head, add an extra layer from the fuzzy part of the velcro adhesive or use a felt adhesive sheet. [Edit: I added a slightly fatter version on 6/4/19, increasing surface area to distribute weight more evenly. I also corrected the "QUEST" logo centering issue in earlier versions.]
