Headband for Oculus Quest 2 & other VR headsets

[Edit: 5/7/21] Just for fun, I made a new version with the Aperture Laboratory logo, for both band A & B size. Made the logo & the lettering raised for easier painting. Painted mine with acrylic paint and a very small brush. Wasn't easy, but did it very carefully & did it with 3 coats. Also, use masking tape to mask off as much as possible first. [Edit] Also added a raised Oculus logo version, for easier painting. Plus did a little maintenance and made some adjustment for the original version to improve the logo a little. [Edit] made some improvements on the aperture logo distortion due to curvature. This is a halo style headband for the Quest 2. Band A is made for the stock strap, and band B is for the Elite strap. You can use velcro straps to attach to the sides or use stick-on velcro like I did with the Elite strap. The top strap is only threaded through the holes with the loose end, it's a lot easier this way. I also used the wooly side of velcro on the inside for comfort. [Edit: I tried some 3/8" foam padding and it felt even better.] [Tip: best to make the foam padding removable, like glued to velcro instead of to the headband, as to allow it to be added after the top strap is attached to headband. That way, the padding can span across the whole front of the forehead instead of just to each side of the top strap. I added a couple of pictures to show this.] These would also work with other VR headsets, I've tried it on a Rift CV1. I wouldn't recommend this for the Quest 1 though as that headset has a notoriously weak top strap mount. Seen more than a few broken Quest 1 mount plastics (unrepairable) on the Oculus Quest sub reddit. Printed without support and 25% cubic infill for how it looks. [edit] added a version A with wider slots to fit DAS. [edit] Here's a alternative way to mount the top strap if you find that it's not long enough doing it the way described above: take the top strap off the headset, insert top strap into headband first, then into the headset. Put the headband about top of the head level, tighten top strap to desired length & close velcro. Now work the headband down to the correct position.
