Head wand for people with hands disabilities
pinshape
I designed a head wand that's similar in function to mouth sticks, with the stick strapped securely to the head. Users control the device by moving their head, enabling them to type characters, navigate web documents, and more. However, prolonged use can lead to fatigue, especially when completing tasks that require numerous keystrokes. My previous 3D model, a mouth stick, could be printed using conductive filament and functioned like a stylus pen or stick. To accommodate users with various head sizes, I designed this helmet with Velcro strips for easy attachment. This allows the device to be versatile and adaptable. For added comfort and reduced discomfort, users can glue sponge strips inside the helmet.
