myminifactory
Terracotta head of the Greek god Hades proudly displayed in the Museo Archeologico di Aidone, Sicily. A highly detailed photogrammetric model of this artifact has been meticulously created using Reality Capture technology. The initial data collection for this project was a collaborative effort between the University of Catania and CVAST at the University of South Florida (USF), with valuable input from the Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK). Dr. Mariarita Sgarlata and Dr. Herbert Maschner, Principal Investigators, led this joint initiative. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the administrators of the Villa Romana del Casale and the Museo Archeologico di Aidone for their participation in this project. The data were subsequently transferred to Global Digital Heritage (GDH) for thorough processing and analysis. Funding for this project was generously provided by the Hitz Foundation, with Dr. Herbert Maschner serving as Principal Investigator.
